Shah Rukh Khan originated Kolkata International Film Festival 2019 on Friday in the presence of CM Mamata Banerjee, Sourav Ganguly and others.
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan embellish the opening ceremony of Kolkata International Film Festival, which took place on Friday. The 25th edition of the film festival saw the presence of experienced personalities. Actor Rakhee was one of the actors to attend the ceremony while we saw actor-turned-politician Nusrat Jahan, actor Parambrata and other famous film personalities, including German filmmaker Volker Schlöndorff, Slovakian filmmaker Dusan Hanak, producer and actress Andie Macdowell attended the initial event.
Shah Rukh encouraged the need to celebrate the diversity in the country. Giving fans a moment to remember, SRK brought his dialogue from Raees but in adoration of the city and the festival. SRK also shared some candid occasions with Rakhee, chief minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee and cricket legend Sourav Ganguly. In fact, Rakhee was seen teaching SRK some Bengali.
As many as 214 films, 152 shorts and documentaries from 76 countries will be screened at KIFF 2019.
