Valentine’s Day also known as Saint Valentine’s Day. The holiday has origins in the Roman festival of Lupercalia, held in the middle of the February month. Valentine’s day is celebrated in the memory of martyrdom of St. Valentine, who was a Catholic Clergyman, lived in Rome in the 3rd century. There are many stories about St. Valentine, like many Romans were converting to Christianity at the time of Valentine’s life

Emperor Claudius II believed that Roman soldiers should be completely affectionate to Rome & therefore made strict rules about what the community of Christians were allowed to do and passed a law stopped them from marrying. Access to one adultery, St.Valentine started the marrying of these couples in secret ceremonies of Christian, Because of this the man couldn’t be sent away & conscripted. Here started his reputation of believing in the significance of love.



Despite the celebration of Valentine’s Day were religious in nature, but now it became a part of the modern culture. Now not just one day but a whole week is celebrated which includes Feb 7 to Feb 14, with each day having its own importance, begin from Feb 7 Rose Day and ends up with Feb 14.

ROSE DAY

Rose Day: It’s the beginning day of Valentine’s week. Valentine’s week starts with the beauty and fragrances of the roses. It is a day when people express their love with the help of roses. While the Red color roses signify the love and romance, Pink roses express the appreciation and admiration for a particular person, Yellow roses associated with friendship and good health, Orange roses signify enthusiasm and passion and White ones symbolizes peace. According to their feelings people giving the roses to their loved ones.



PROPOSE DAY

Propose Day: Propose day always comes after Rose Day. Every year Propose Day comes on 8th Feb which is celebrated as 2nd day of valentine’s week. Propose day is the right day to confess your love. Large no of people give ring or rose to propose their boyfriend, girlfriend or crushes.

CHOCOLATE DAY

Chocolate Day: On Feb 9 Chocolate Day is celebrated which is the 3rd day of valentine’s week. This day is the best day to let your loved ones know how much you love them. On this day, you can spread your love to your loved ones. You can express your love to your girlfriends or boyfriends by gifting them heart shape chocolates.

TEDDY DAY

Teddy Day: Teddy day is considered as the fourth day of Valentine’s week. Teddy’s day comes on 10th February and comes after the chocolate day. Teddies are the cutest gift to be given to your loved ones. We can hit upon the teddy when we are angry. We can cuddle them when we miss someone and also we can cry by hugging them if we did not feel good. Teddies changed our sorrows into happiness and bring a big smile to our faces.



PROMISE DAY

Promise Day: The most significant day of Valentine’s week is Promise day which celebrates on 11th Feb. People celebrate this day by promises to their near and dear ones to make their relation strong. Promises are good to make but also keep it. So make a promise this promise day but also fulfill the previous ones.

HUG DAY

Hug Day: On 12 Feb Hug day is celebrated. Hug Day is the 6th day of Valentine’s Day. Hugs are the best way to express your love and affection. Sometimes just a hug can solve the biggest problems. It is a charming and cozy feeling which makes others happy. It only hugs which can brighten up someone’s day.

KISS Day

Kiss Day: Kiss Day is celebrated on the 2nd last day of Valentine’s week. It comes just before Valentine’s Day. Kiss Day is celebrated on the 13th of Feb. Kiss is the sweetest form of expression to express your love. There are 100 ways to express your love but the best form of expression is Kiss. There are many forms of a kiss like a kiss on hands, kiss on foreheads, kiss on the face and many more. According to their comfort and relation, people choose the kiss.



VALENTINE’S DAY

Valentine’s Day: Finally, the wait is over and the day of love has come. Valentine’s Day is celebrated every year on Feb 14. People celebrated this day by spending the whole day with their loved ones. Some people planned a dinner date for their loved ones, some choose to be hangout with their loved ones while some choose this day as the day propose or get married. People choose to send greeting cards, flower bouquet, cakes, chocolates, jewelry, etc to their loved ones.
