The currently achieved GQ’s 50 Most Influential Young Indians awards was attended by many, but it was Rasika Dugal who had our attention. The Mirzapur actor was speckled at the event in an ensemble from Dolly J that existed a sheer top with voluminous sleeves and a black skirt. We feel the elaborate top would have worked if it was teamed with a plainer skirt. Similarly, a plain grey top would have gone well with the black asymmetrical skirt. And what just did not go with the look was the decorate belt that it was accessorized with. It could work for another outfit, not this. In fact, the top, skirt and the belt seemed part of a different ensemble bashed together by accident here.

While it is superb to see the actor trying out a different style, this just did not work for us.

Earlier, the actor had affected us really a bit when she had attended the Cannes Film Festival for the world premiere of Manto. She had especially left mark in a sari from Raw Mango. The duck egg blue sari looked gorgeous on her and we really liked how she kept her look understated, concluding it with a neat bun.

This, however, is not to say that she should always wear ethnic — but that less is always more.
